When news broke that Halle Berry was pregnant, rumors started to swirl that Storm would no longer be a part of the upcoming franchise adventure X-Men: Days of Future Past. Or maybe the role would be recast. Halle Berry has stepped forward to say that those rumors are false. She is definitely still on board to reprise the role of the weather-changing mutant.

"One thing is for sure, with another baby on the way mama cannot take time off!"

The actress did reveal that the screenplay had to be tweaked a tiny bit, but it doesn't really change or alter the storyline or her role in it. The fan-favorite character will still be an important element in this prequel-sequel mash-up.

"Storm probably won't be as badass as she was going to be because we won't be able to do any fighting or flying or things like that. She'll be different than we originally planned her to be but I still think she'll be an integral part of this new X-Men movie."

In the comic book series The Uncanny X-Men issues #141 and #142, upon which X-Men: Days of Future Past is based, Storm does not play a major role in the action. Kitty Pryde, to be played by Ellen Page, is actually the key player and serves as the bridge between the past and the present as she mentally time travels back into the mind of her younger self to warn the X-Men of a possible future that will see all mutants gathered into internment camps. Our heroes will have to gather and fight to insure this future does not come true.

Halle Berry originated the on-screen persona of Storm in 2000's X-Men, and went onto resume the role in X2: X-Men United and X-Men: The Last Stand. X-Men: Days of Future Past will be the forth time she has donned the infamous white wig to portray this popular superhero in the Marvel film universe.
