After Hancock raked in an impressive $624 million worldwide, with $227.9 million coming from the domestic box office, it's somewhat surprising we haven't seen Hancock 2 already, nearly four years later. Hancock director Peter Berg said recently that there is still talk of a sequel moving forward, only nobody is sure when it may happen. Here's what the director had to say below.

"We've been talking about the sequel between us, Will Smith, [producers] Michael Mann and Akiva Goldsman and myself. We're all interested, but we literally just have trouble getting into the same room at the same time. We did have a series of meetings last year and started to hash out an idea for sequel -- and Will Smith actually had the idea -- so I think it will happen, it's just a question of timing."

The last time we heard anything about Hancock 2 was back in September 2009, when Peter Berg revealed the original cast would return for the sequel, including Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman.

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan wrote the screenplay for Hancock with Vincent Ngo. It isn't known if they will return to write the sequel.
