Focus Features has released an international trailer for the upcoming drama Hanna, which will arrive in theaters nationwide on April 8. Click on the video below for the latest glimpse at stars Saoirse Ronan, Eric Bana and Cate Blanchett:

Raised by her father (Eric Bana of Star Trek), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Finland, Hanna's upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.

Hanna was released April 8th, 2011.

@CelluloidDreams: It was written by Luc Besson so yeah there is a resemblance with La femme nikita and it was made in 1990 not 1997 (the original movie then).

What is the point of making a film told over and over (x1000). What could they possibly add to this crap, that we haven't seen before. Please don't say, it's only a film that doesn't need to be taken seriously. Along with the $$$>Art mentality, that's just a pitiful excuse Hollywood loves and cuddles with.

Movies like this are more fun than anything else. Can't really take it too seriously. Although it is highly speculative there there very well could be a sleeper cell of discarded children being trained to become the perfect assassins for their governments. The thought of that being plausible really works well in fantasies like this.

I'm a sucker for these types of films, original or not. Plus I like the cast, so I'm gonna see it eventually.

I think this could be cool, solid cast for sure! She's way too young to be a Nikita rip off imo.

Hmmmmmmm ...LQQks boring and it looks like it has been done before ....I turened the trialer off mid-way through ...I like Cate Blanchett & Eric Bana but they can't get me to see this ....

I don't care for Saoirse Ronan ... this film looks like a Rip-Off of: "La Femme Nikita" from 1997!

                        I will pass...wait for $1.00 Redbox!

I like The Chemical Brothers score, it'll probably be the highlight of the movie, but I can't get over how weird this movie feels. The girl kinda creeps me out, and it doesn't help that I can't pronounce her first name lol.
