Hanna screenwriter Seth Lochhead has signed on to write the screenplay adaptation Who Is Jake Ellis? for 20th Century Fox and director David Yates, who became attached to this project back in October.

The story is adapted from the comic book series written by Nathan Edmondson and illustrated by Tonci Zonjic, which follows Jon Moore, Europe's best spy-for-hire, thanks to a mysterious psychic known as Jake Ellis, a man no one else can see but Moore. When a deal goes bad, Ellis must protect Moore using his gifts. The comic book ran for five issues in 2011, when it was nominated for an Eisner Award, and spawned the sequel series Where Is Jake Ellis? in 2012. The adaptation has been compared to the Bourne franchise, making Seth Lochhead a prime candidate to adapt the material.

Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping are producing for Chernin Entertainment, with Ford Lytle Gilmore serving as executive producer. No production schedule was given.

Seth Lochhead is currently working on a rewrite of Shadow of the Colossus, which has Josh Trank attached to direct. He also wrote the adaptation The Age of Miracles, which will go into production this summer under the direction of Catherine Hardwicke.
