Next year, The CW will debut DC's Legends of Tomorrow, a spinoff series that features Arrow and The Flash. Along with Arrow's Caity Lotz (White Canary), Brandon Routh (Atom) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), and The Flash's Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold) and Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave), the spinoff will feature new characters such as Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter) and Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl). While we have to wait for next January to see these heroes and villains come together, Spoiler TV reports that The CW is developing a Hawkgirl spinoff series.

The show is reportedly in very early stages of development, but it would likely get a straight-to-series order, with Ciara Renee set to star as Hawkgirl. If this show does go forward, it seems that her stint on DC's Legends of Tomorrow could be a short one, but, given how often Arrow and The Flash cross over, it seems likely that she could return to guest star while the spinoff airs, if it does move forward. It isn't known if the show will be set before or after the events of DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

If the spinoff moves forward, it would highlight a rather meteoric rise for Ciara Renee, who has only previously had one guest starring appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, along with a brief appearance in the season finale of The Flash.
