According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO is renewing The Ricky Gervais Show for a second season.
The Ricky Gervais Show is based on Gervais' popular podcast recordings with his collaborator Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington. In all of the animated episodes, "the three discuss a range of topics including donating to charities, public nudity and choosing the best superpowers."
The ratings for the HBO show haven't been great. It averages 180,000 viewers per episode, and has a 0.1 rating with adults in the 18-49 demographic.
