Nearly one year after a surprise trailer during NBC's Olympic coverage announced the Heroes Reborn series, the network has released a brand new trailer that showcases original Heroes star Jack Coleman as Noah Bennett, a.k.a. "HRG" new cast member Zachary Levi. No details have been released about Zachary Levi's character, but it seems in this trailer that both he and "HRG" are watching the abilities of a mysterious new "hero," which may revolve around a total eclipse. As you may recall, the original Heroes showcased a number of character in different parts of the world, who received incredible gifts after a total eclipse.

We reported back in July that the series will largely revolve around new characters, although Jack Coleman's HRG will return to tie both the original series and this mini-series together. It isn't known if any other original cast members will be back, but Zachary Quinto revealed earlier this month that he will not be back as Sylar. The original series ran for four seasons, between 2006 and 2010 on NBC.

NBC will also launch a digital series before the debut of Heroes Reborn, which will introduce the new characters and story lines. The 13-episode Heroes Reborn event series will follow a new story arc, although no official plot details have been revealed at this time, and we still don't know when the series will debut yet. Take a look at the new trailer, and stay tuned for more on Heroes Reborn as soon as more details and footage are released.
