Red State director Kevin Smith took to his Twitter account this morning to announce that he has completed the first script for Hit Somebody, the two-part hockey movie which will be his final project as a director. Here's what he had to say below, which also indicated the titles for both parts of the movie.

"The script for Hit Somebody, Pt 1 is done. Now into second script. First part I'm calling HOME. Second part I'm calling AWAY. Fucking bliss."

We reported earlier this month that Hit Somebody will be split into two parts. The movie centers on a Canadian named Buddy who dreams of becoming a pro hockey player despite his lack of puck-handling skills. It is believed that the first part will center on his childhood, with the split occurring when Buddy fulfills his dream.

Kevin Smith is directing Hit Somebody from his own screenplay, which is based on the Warren Zevon song of the same name. Nicholas Braun has signed on to portray Buddy, with his fellow Red State cast members Kyle Gallner and Michael Angarano locked in as well. It isn't known when production will begin on Hit Somebody.
