Sony Pictures Animation is moving forward on a sequel to their fall hit Hotel Transylvania, which has already earned more than $250 million at the box office worldwide. The studio has set a September 25, 2015 release date for the animated follow-up.

The studio is currently searching for a new director, since Hotel Transylvania filmmaker Genndy Tartakovsky will not be available. We reported in June that Genndy Tartakovsky is making Popeye for the studio, which is set for release on September 26, 2014.

It isn't known if Hotel Transylvania cast members Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, and David Spade will reprise their roles. The original story is set in an ancient resort, built by Dracula (Adam Sandler), for monsters and creatures to relax in. The plot thickens when an adventurous young man (Andy Samberg) becomes the first human to discover the hotel.
