Netflix has released the first brief trailer for Season 3 of House of Cards, which announces that the new episodes will premiere on February 27, 2015. While there isn't much to the teaser, we do see Francis Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his wife Claire (Robin Wright) boarding Air Force One in this "special message from the White House." There will be spoilers that follow below, if you haven't caught up with Season 2, so read on at your own risk.

The Season 2 finale ended with Francis Underwood finally achieving his goal of becoming the President of the United States, after the impeachment of President Walker (Michael Gill), despite any concrete proof that he had committed an impeachable offense. Underwood was sworn in as the 46th President of the United States just moments later, with the season ending as he takes his place in the Oval Office for the first time. What remains unclear is the amount of time that has passed between the Season 2 finale and the Season 3 premiere, but we'll likely find out sooner rather than later.

Are you excited to see what the Underwood's are capable of in the White House? What do you think Francis' first official act as POTUS will be? Check out the teaser and chime in with your thoughts below. We'll be sure to have the full-length trailer sometime in the New Year.
