Earlier this week, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 star Jennifer Lawrence shared the first photo from The Hunger Games franchise finale, which featured the actress' character Katniss Everdeen alongside Liam Hemsworth's Gale Hawthorne, Evan Ross' Messalla and Sam Claflin's Finnick Odair. Earlier today, both Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) and Liam Hemsworth shared new photos of their characters on their social media platforms, with Josh Hutcherson sharing the same cryptic message as Jennifer Lawrence, "6.9.15 #MockingjayPart2 #Unite." While we don't have any confirmation what will happen on June 9, it seems likely that this is when the first trailer will debut.

Panem is engaged in a full scale war, as Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) finally confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in what promises to be the ultimate showdown. Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) join Katniss as she sets off on a mission with the unit from District 13. They must all risk their lives to assassinate President Snow, stoping his reign of terror once and for all. The maniacal ruler has become increasingly obsessed with destroying Katniss himself. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will change her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

The supporting cast is rounded out by the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final role, alongside Julianne Moore, Natalie Dormer, Stef Dawson, Patina Miller and Robert Knepper.
