Two weeks ago, Lionsgate kicked off Comic-Con in grand fashion with their panel for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 in Hall H, where they debuted a brand new full-length trailer for this franchise finale. Today, the studio has released the full trailer for all to see, where Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and her growing rebel army march on the Capitol, to confront President Snow (Donald Sutherland). With four months left until this adaptation hits theaters, we will surely get at least one more trailer before its release.

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends - including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) - Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

This new footage reveals that, when Katniss and the rebels march into the Capitol, there are a slew of traps awaiting them, concocted by the gamemakers who devised the same sorts of death traps in the actual Hunger Games themselves. Among these traps are vats of hot oil that are poured into the courtyard. We also hear from Peeta, who tells Katniss that every death suffered at the hands of Snow will finally mean something, if she is able to kill this tyrannical leader.

The trailer briefly features one of the more prominent cast members, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, whose performance as Plutarch Heavensbee will be his last on-screen role. Shortly after his death last February, it was revealed that the actor will be digitally recreated for at least one pivotal scene. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 were shot back-to-back, with production spanning from September 2013 to May 2014.

The supporting cast includes Julianne Moore (Alma Coin), Natalie Dormer (Cressida), Willow Shields (Primrose Everdeen), Stef Dawson (Annie Cresta), Evan Ross (Messalla), Patina Miller (Commander Paylor), Robert Knepper (Antonius), Gwendoline Christie (Commander Lyme), Michelle Forbes (Lt. Jackson), Mahershala Ali (Boggs) and Eugenie Bondurant (Tigris). If you weren't at SDCC earlier this month, then check out the trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, arriving in theaters November 20. Stay tuned for more on this beloved franchise finale as we get closer and closer to the release.
