Following the cast & crew Q&A session that just took place on the Independence Day: Resurgence set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 20th Century Fox has released a motion poster with the new title, along with two versions of the logo and our first look at a space vehicle known as the Moon Tug. Director Roland Emmerich described the Moon Tug as a "workhorse" and the main vehicle of newcomer Liam Hemsworth. While we don't have any official photos of it yet, the Q&A session also revealed an alien hybrid jet. Here's what the filmmaker had to say about the alien jet below.

"It has the same technology, anti-gravity engines. This world cannot build alien technology, but we can harvest it."

We always knew they were coming back. After Independence Day redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens' advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.

Independence Day: Resurgence stars Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner, Angelababy, Maika Monroe, Sela Ward and Jessie Usher star in this highly-anticipated sequel, which hits theaters June 24, 2016. Since production has just gotten under way, hopefully we'll learn much more about Independence Day 2 in the near future. While we wait for more details, check out the motion poster, photos and logo.
