Back in June, Disney released new photos from the upcoming musical Into the Woods that teased Johnny Depp as The Wolf, without showing his face. Today, fans finally get to see the first full look at the villainous character in one of four new Entertainment Weekly magazine covers.

Johnny Depp's The Wolf is pictured alongside Lilla Crawford's Little Red Riding Hood in the first cover, with Meryl Streep (The Witch) and Mackenzie Mauzy (Rapunzel) gracing the second cover. Anna Kendrick (Cinderella) and Chris Pine (The Prince) are showcased on the third cover, with James Corden (The Baker) and Emily Blunt (The Baker's Wife) seen on the fourth and final collectible cover.

The story centers on The Baker and his wife, who attempt to lift a dreadful Witch's curse by entering an enchanted forest filled with several classic characters. Director Rob Marshall (Chicago) reveals that, while several of these characters were made famous through animated adaptations, there is definitely a sense of danger that isn't found in the earlier movies.

"I didn't want this to look like a cartoon world. It's not sunny, sunny, sunny-we wanted a sense of danger."

Meryl Streep also added that she has turned down many different witch roles over the years, while explaining why she was drawn to this character.

"I've been offered many witches over the years, starting when I was 40, and I said no to all of them. But this was really fun because it played with the notion of what witches mean. They represented age and ugliness and scary powers we don't understand. So here's my opportunity to say, here's what you wish for when you're getting old."

Take a look at the four EW covers below, and stay tuned for more footage and photos as we get closer and closer to Into the Woods' Christmas Day release.
