Last week, we showed you six images that were unlocked through the Shazam app during the end credits of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which teased The Sinister Six spin-off villains Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Rhino, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio. Though, a follow-up report indicates that this villainous line-up hasn't been confirmed just yet. Before the spin-off hits theaters, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will first debut in 2016, and it will be the last in this franchise for director Marc Webb and star Andrew Garfield. During a recent interview with ComicBook.com, the director hints that he may be using Kraven the Hunter as the main villain for The Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Here's what the filmmaker had to say, when asked about the villains he would like to use that haven't been featured in any other previous movies.

"Kraven. Kraven. I like the idea of Kraven. The Vulture. Ock. I always thought the idea of Mysterio was interesting. Maybe Scorpion. But really, Kraven I think is kind of interesting."

Kraven the Hunter, a.k.a Sergei Kravinoff, is a villain of Russian descent who was one of the original members of The Sinister Six. In the comic books, he became obsessed with big game hunting and decided to go after Spider-Man, which he thought would cement his place in history by defeating the hero. He possesses super-human strength, agility and heightened senses, but doesn't use any weapons to hunt his prey.

It should be noted that Kraven is featured in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game, although he hasn't been confirmed as The Amazing Spider-Man 3 villain just yet.
