Brazilian movie website Cinepop revealed today that Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be entitled The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro for its Brazilian release.

Sony Pictures has not confirmed whether or not this subtitle will be used for the domestic release of director Marc Webb's sequel, which stars Jamie Foxx as the villainous Electro. Last month, we reported that Sony was seeking fan opinions about possible subtitles, which included Price of Power and With Great Power, although neither of these have been confirmed yet.

We reported in October that the trailer will be attached to prints of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, which arrives in theaters December 13.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, along with new cast members Paul Giamatti (The Rhino), Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborn) and Chris Cooper (Norman Osborn). Marc Webb directs from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner.
