Earlier today, we showed you the latest TV spot for tomorrow night's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode "0-8-4", which stresses that viewers should watch all the way up until the very end. However, we didn't notice that the eagle on the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo was wearing an eye patch, which may hint that Marvel's The Avengers star Samuel L. Jackson is making an appearance as Nick Fury. Take a look at the TV spot in question.
In addition, the show's official Facebook page left the following message along with the TV spot.
"Be sure to stay until the end of the credits on Tuesday. In true Marvel fashion, you never know what might happen. #SHIELD084"
Series creator Joss Whedon revealed in a previous interview that he would love to have Samuel L. Jackson return as the eyepatch-wearing leader of S.H.I.E.L.D.
"We would love to have Sam in the house. If we could work it out, we'd do it in a heartbeat. He's Sam."
Samuel L. Jackson himself revealed in a December 2012 interview, before the show was even ordered to series by ABC, that he would like to be a part of the show, perhaps as just the voice of Nick Fury.
"I don't know. I keep hearing about it, and I haven't talked to Joss about it. But in my mind, I would tend to think that he would, if nothing else, be like Charlie in Charlie's Angels. At least be the voice!"
