A new interview in The Globe and Mail revealed that Hilary Duff could be in the running for a role in Sony's upcoming Untitled Spider-Man Reboot.

The interview was with Hilary Duff's NHL hockey player husband Mike Comrie. The piece revealed that while the interviewer was at Hilary Duff's Hollywood home, they discovered a script entitled "Spiderman" on the coffee table.

Here's an excerpt from the article:

"The kitchen contains evidence of their professional lives - his daily diet is posted on the fridge (from a bacon cheddar burrito for breakfast to five pigs-in-a-blanket as a nighttime snack) and a script marked Spiderman sits on the table, with lines for a character simply called "girl" highlighted in yellow (rumours swirl about who Spidey's love interest will be in the series' next instalment.)"

The article doesn't indicate which character Hilary Duff would play. We reported last month that actresses Emma Roberts and Teresa Palmer were in the running to portray Gwen Stacy in the new reboot. Could Hilary Duff also be up for this role?

We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further information regarding the Untitled Spider-Man Reboot as soon as we have more information.
