Actor Isaiah Mustafa, who has gained notoriety as the pitchman for Old Spice, is starring in Tyler Perry's new film Madea's Big Happy Family, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Mustafa was reportedly set for a minor role in another Perry film, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf, when Perry himself contacted Mustafa and said Mustafa would be starring in Madea's Big Happy Family in a lead role.

"I got a call from my manager a week and a half ago who told me that I was no longer in Colored Girls and said I would be in Madea's Big Happy Family instead," Mustafa said. "It was confirmed last Monday, and I left on Friday to begin filming."

Mustafa will star alongside Loretta Devine and Bow Wow in the film, portraying Calvin, a man struggling with his family relationships. Devine and Bow Wow will play his mother-in-law and brother-in-law, repsectively.

Madea's Big Happy Family started shooting this week in Atlanta, with production slated to wrap in early September.
