Jake Gyllenhaal has boarded Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden's gambling drama Mississippi Grind.

The story focuses on a veteran gambler, who is in over his head with debt. He recruits a younger gambling addict (Jake Gyllenhaal) to raise enough money to pay down his money owed. They travel through the south with a vision to win back the money he lost. The producers are still searching for someone to play the older gambler.

The directing duo will work from a script they wrote. Jamie Patricof and Lynette Howell are producing with John Lesher.

The actor will also be seen in David Ayer's crime drama End of Watch alongside Anna Kendrick and Michael Peña.

No production schedule has been released for this project.
