Dame Judi Dench confirmed at a recent awards ceremony that she will return to play M in James Bond 23. While she did confirm her return, she wouldn't say much more aside from being happy to come back to the franchise. Here's what she had to say at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards:

"Nothing... my lips are sealed. I can't tell you anything at all! Of course, I'm looking forward hugely to working with Daniel [Craig] again and with Sam [Mendes] who I've only ever worked with in the theatre. So that'll be all good fun to do! I'm so glad it's coming back, it's wonderful."

James Bond 23 will be Judi Dench's seventh performance as the MI6 boss, M. She first appeared as M in the 1995 Bond movie Goldeneye alongside Pierce Brosnan as 007.

We reported earlier this month that Daniel Craig is confirmed to star in James Bond 23 and that Sam Mendes is set to direct. Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan wrote the screenplay.

It isn't clear when James Bond 23 will go into production, although a November 9, 2012 release date has already been set.
