Writer-director James Cameron is currently busy prepping Avatar 2, which will be released in late 2014. Avatar actress Sigourney Weaver recently hinted that she will return for Avatar 2, even though her character, Grace Augustine, dies in the first movie. Here's what James Cameron recently had to say about the actress' comments.

"Well, I don't want to disabuse her of that fantasy. But have you ever heard of nonlinear storytelling? A lot happens on that planet before she shows up, and before Jake shows up to join her. She's there for fifteen years ahead of time. I don't know, but I wouldn't jump to conclusions. And I've already said way too much about Avatar 2 and (Avatar) 3 here and there, but people piece it together like those voice cameos and tell the whole story!"

The director also revealed that a character never really dies in any sci-fi story.

"Okay, here's the deal. When you have a science-fiction series, a science-fiction franchise, you're never dead, unless your DNA is expunged from the universe. And then there's always time travel!"

Of course, we don't have official confirmation that Sigourney Weaver will return, but it seems we may see Grace Augustine once again in Avatar 2.
