James Gandolfini Eyes HBO's ‘Cinema Verite’

James Gandolfini comes back to HBO for Cinema Verite According to Variety, James Gandolfini (The Sopranos) has come aboard HBO Films' Cinema Verite.

The actor, who has a deal with the pay cable station, and Tim Robbins will co-star in the telepic that stars Diane Lane about the 1970s PBS series An American Family.

Cinema Verite was written by David Selzer and will shoot this summer. It examines the revolutionary show about the Santa Barbara-based Loud family. Their son just happened to be the first openly gay character on TV.
