Jamie Foxx Channels President Barack Obama in ‘White House Down’ Photos

Sony Pictures has released seven official photos from director Roland Emmerich's White House Down, which is shaping up to be one of the bigger summer blockbusters next year. Channing Tatum trades in his Magic Mike chaps for a gun in this action-thriller, where he plays a Secret Service agent trying to protect the President of the United States (Jamie Foxx) from a paramilitary takeover at the White House. Take a look at these photos, which also offer our first look at Maggie Gyllenhaal. It looks as though Jamie Foxx is channeling Barack Obama for his performance.

      Is he actually playing BO? Or by channeling Obama do you just mean that he is a black man in the office of President?

        @thedude-abides -- Great points.

        @therealGoku -- I'm mixed, and I'm baffled by this idea. Lol.

            3 indicators as to why this film is going to suck:

            1. Channing Tatum

            2. Jamie Foxx channeling Obama

            3. production started less than a month ago and already looks to be about halfway finished, judging from the wide-ranging photos in the article

            Really the list ended at #1, but I wanted to make it even :P

              Looks nothing like Obama, they should have gone with will smith, still bad movie premise tho

                Uhhhh....no. Obama as a character in an action film? Please no. I hope he's just playing a black President too. It'd be awkward to watch if I had to think that was President Obama the entire time.

                  Olympus has Fallen looks to be a lot better, in my opinion. Has a far better title, a better suited director, an arguably better cast, etc. Regardless, Foxx mimicking anything Obama will only cheapen this film.

                    I really hope there is no imitation going on here and he is simply playing a black president...otherwise, despite how talented foxx is, this could be a disaster.

                      I'm not liking these screenshots very much. I'm more so looking forward to Olympus has Fallen with Morgan Freeman and Gerard Butler. I think it'll be a much better film and it basically has the same concept.
