After months of speculation, Javier Bardem confirmed he will play a villain in Bond 23. Here's what he had to say on ABC News Nightline, when asked if he will play the villain.

"I am very excited, my parents took me to watch the movies, and I saw all of them, and to play that is going to be fun. They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details."

We reported in February that Ralph Fiennes was also up for a different villain role. Sam Mendes is directing Bond 23 from a script by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Peter Morgan.

It isn't known when production will start on Bond 23. You can take a look at the full video below featuring Javier Bardem on ABC News Nightline, which primarily focuses on the actor trying to raise awareness for African refugee camps.
