According to Variety, director Jim Sheridan's next project after Get Rich or Die Tryin' will be the Irish mafia pic Emerald City, which Radar Pictures and Relevant Entertainment are producing.

The pic, inspired by true events, is a look into the world of Irish organized crime in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City.

Lukas Reiter, a former Queens assistant district attorney and a writer-producer on ABC's "Boston Legal" and "The Practice," is penning the script.

Sheridan is currently filming Get Rich or Die Tryin', Paramount and MTV's urban, rags-to-riches story starring 50 Cent. He's also attached to direct DreamWorks' remake of the 1952 Akira Kurosawa film "Ikiru."
