The romance anthology Paris, je t'aime is getting a horror spoof entitled Paris I'll Kill You, which has collected genre directors old and new in hopes of launching an on-going franchise. Cult icon Joe Dante (The Hole, Gremlins) and emerging horror-action fave Xavier Gens (Hitman, Frontière(s)) have joined the likes of Paco Plaza ([Rec]), Vincenzo Natali (Splice), and Ryûhei Kitamura (Midnight Meat Train) in bringing this look at the seedier side of France to the big screen.

This team is also joined by international auteurs Christopher Smith (Creep, Severance) and the duo Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Inside). The movie, which will tie various different thriller vignettes together under one-roof ala Paris, je t'aime, will be, much like that film and its spin-off New York, I Love You, the first in a "horror city" series that looks at various gruesome happenings in different cities across the planet. And like Paris, je t'aime, Paris I'll Kill You will head to New York next, followed by Shanghai and Jerusalem.

Darryn Welch and Mathieu Robinet will produce, with Chris Ouwinga, Oliver Simon, Daniel Baur, and Carl Clifton executive producing for K5 Films. The project will be shopped to buyers at the American Film Market next week.
