Joel and Ethan Coen have inked a deal to re-write Angelina Jolie's WWII drama Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption.
The film is an adaptation of a book written by Laura Hillenbrand and centers on the life of Olympian and war hero Louis Zamperini. The film will chronicle their time in a concentration camp and his time as a member of the 1936 US Olympic team in Berlin.
Francis Lawrence was originally attached to director the project, but it has since been taken over by Angelina Jolie. Matthew Baer, Erwin Stoff and Mick Garris are producing.
No production schedule has been released.
