In a story from Heat Vision, John C. Reilly and Mary-Louise Parker are in talks to join Red. The project is an adaptation of the Wildstorm/DC Comics miniseries.

It is being helmed by Robert Schwentke.

The three-book series, published in 2003 and 2004, tells the story of a former black-ops CIA agent (Bruce Willis) now living a quiet life in retirement until the day a high-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him.

Reilly will play the role of a retired CIA agent who thinks that everyone is out to kill him.

Parker is going to be the romantic interest. She is a pension worker who gets involved in Willis's struggle to remain alive.

Already cast in the film are Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren. Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian are producing Red from a screenplay by Jon and Erich Hoeber.
