According to Variety, vet filmmaker John Milius is taking his first crack at a videogame.

The Apocalypse Now scribe, who wrote and helmed Conan the Barbarian and Dillinger, is writing Electronic Arts' upcoming vidgame "Medal of Honor: European Assault."

Milius created scenarios and characters and wrote dialogue for the game, which follows a U.S. Army officer trying to track down a deadly new Nazi weapon as he travels through several of World War II's best known European battles.

The scribe also helped game developers integrate the story into real historical events.

"This wasn't individuals doing a vision of their story, like in a film," Milius said of his first experience writing a game. "I contributed story ideas that artists would take pieces of that they were able to realize visually."
