John Travolta and Nicolas Cage may work together again for the first time since 1997's Face/Off. Both actors are circling two indie projects entitled Shrapnel and Sea Trial.

Back in September, we reported that John McTiernan signed on to direct the action-adventure Shrapnel. The director was sentenced to a year in prison after perjuring himself in the wiretapping case against Anthony Pellicano. John McTiernan is appealing the sentence while currently out on bail. The story centers on a Bosnian soldier who turns a hunting trip into a war game to get revenge on the American soldier who badly wounded him. Producers are considering a June production start date.

Sea Trial comes from producer Charles Roven and writer-director Raymond De Felitta (City Island). The project is based on the novel of the same name by Frank De Felitta, Raymond's father. The story centers on a couple who takes what they think will be a pleasure cruise and become enslaved by the ship's captain and his wife. This project is still seeking financing.
