Johnny Depp is the latest actor to consider a role in Kathryn Bigelow's next project Triple Frontier, according to Deadline New York.

We reported last night that Tom Hanks could also star in the movie as well, which is set in the South American region on the borders of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil that is home to several organized crime elements. The site reports that there are five main roles in the movie, with two main lead roles. No character details were given at this time.

Johnny Depp is interested in the project, as well as teaming with Tom Hanks, but there are scheduling issues. Johnny Depp is scheduled to start shooting Dark Shadows in February, the same time Triple Frontier is to go before cameras. There is hope, though, that they can work out a schedule where Johnny Depp can shoot both projects at the same time.

Kathryn Bigelow will direct the movie from a script by her The Hurt Locker screenwriter Mark Boal.
