Director Jon Favreau's film adaptation of Jersey Boys is moving to Warner Bros. due to a first look deal with producer Graham King. The project was originally setup through Sony Pictures.

The musical centers Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons' journey from the slums of Newark, New Jersey to the top of the music charts. The quintet sold 175 million records worldwide. The film will include classic songs like "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Rag Doll," "Oh What a Night" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."

The Broadway show was written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio and Bob Crewe. The Broadway show has brought in over $1 billion dollars in revenue worldwide.

Production begins in January and Warner Bros will release it Christmas, 2013.
