Just days after Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg signed on to direct Console Wars for Sony, the filmmakers have joined forces with the studio once again to produce the documentary adaptation Brooklyn Castle, which has Jonathan Levine attached to direct.

The producers and director are reuniting with their 50/50 screenwriter Will Reiser, who is writing the script based on the 2012 documentary Brooklyn Castle, which was directed by Katie Dellamaggiore. The original film centers on a team of dominant chess champions who hail from the inner-city Brooklyn school I.S. 318, as budget cuts threaten to take the team away from these students.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are producing with their Point Grey Productions partner James Weaver, along with Scott Rudin and Eli Bush. No production schedule was given.

This project, along with Console Wars, is part of a three-picture deal Point Grey, Scott Rudin Productions and Sony recently signed. The deal also includes an untitled comedy starring Workaholics creators Adam DeVine, Blake Anderson and Anders Holm, which we first reported on back in November. Kyle Newacheck is attached to direct, from a script by Anders Holm.
