In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be co-starring in Christopher Nolan's Inception.

The actor joins Leonardo DiCaprio in this thriller from Warner Bros.

The film is described as a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind from Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan. Nolan wrote the original screenplay and hopes to shoot the sci-fi action film in the summer for a release during summer 2010.

The role that Gordon-Levitt will be doing was originally to be played by James Franco. He wasn't able to take to the role due to other commitments. Gordon-Levitt will be playing an associate of DiCaprio's character.

Also starring in the film are Marion Cotillard as DiCaprio's wife. Ellen Page will play a grad student and DiCaprio's friend. Cillian Murphy has also been cast in the film.
