Variety reports that John Malkovich and Josh Brolin will both star in Jonah Hex for Warner Bros.

In the story, Malkovich is a the character of Turnbull, a Southern plantation owner who loses his son to Union soldiers during the Civil War. Malkovich blames Jonah Hex (Brolin) and that's when things get interesting.

The film is being helmed by Jimmy Hayward and is written by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.

The film is an adaptation of a DC Comic. The production starts in April. Legendary Pictures is onboard as a co-financier and co-producer.
