Josh Trank's ‘Shadow of the Colossus’ Video Game Adaptation Gets Writer Seth Lochhead

Josh Trank's ‘Shadow of the Colossus’ Video Game Adaptation Gets Writer Seth Lochhead of the Colossus gets writer Seth Lochhead Sony Pictures has hired writer Seth Lochhead to pen their upcoming adaption of the hit video game Shadow of the Colossus.

The PS2 exclusive was a fantasy adventure centered on a young man named Wander, who was tasked with defeating sixteen massive colossi in order to save a girl named Mono, and restore peace and order to his kingdom.

Seth Lochhead is best known for his work on Joe Wright's Hanna, which was an original concept by the writer, in collaboration with David Farr.

Chronicle's Josh Trank is directing Shadow of the Colossus, with Kevin Misher producing.

No production schedule has been released for the project.

    wow, I just finished this game a few days ago and now I hear this knews

    if this was a made-for TV movie I think it could work

    it has that 'Lord of the Rings'-esque feel to it and the visuals would look outstanding on-screen

    still a majority of video game movies have been disappointing minus 'Mortal Kombat', 'Prince of Persia' and 'Resident Evil'

      Some video games just shouldnt even be attempted to be turned into film. In SotC you have a vague story with non speaking characters. Many critics often turn to this game when defending video game as art. And that is how it should remain.

      Nintendo was concerend about a director or writer creating back story for Samus Aaron and the metroid world...Team Ico would do well to take note...

                Awesome game, hope the can do the the movie justice but its highly unlikely. This game is a true gem. be prepared for major letdown folks.
