Heat Vision reports that Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck), Ernest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss and Brian Cox are all in talks to come aboard the cast of Red. The film is Summit Entertainment's adaptation of the Wildstorm/DC Comics miniseries. It is being directed by Robert Schwentke.

Red is the story of a former black-ops CIA agent now living a quiet life in retirement until the day a high-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him.

McMahon will be a Vice President with a shady side who is front and center in a shadow conspiracy.

Borgnine is going to play the keeper of the CIA's darkest records. Dreyfuss will tackle the role of a wealthy man who makes a living utilizing lucrative government contracts. Cox will be an ex-Cold War spy and foe of Bruce Willis.

Other actors in this cast are Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John C. Reilly and Mary Louise Parker.
