French actor Omar Sy revealed through his Twitter page last night that he has joined the cast of Jurassic World. Director Colin Trevorrow confirmed the news with his own tweet in French, which translates to "Very pleased to welcome Omar Sy in Jurassic World.

It isn't known what role he may portray, although he joins a cast that includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson and B.D. Wong, who is reprising his Jurassic Park role as Dr. Henry Wu.

Colin Trevorrow is directing from a script he co-wrote with Derek Connolly, with production scheduled to begin in Hawaii this spring.

Omar Sy is best known for his role in The Intouchables, which was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Picture Oscar. He will next be seen as Bishop in 20th Century Fox's superhero sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past.
