We've known for quite some time that Justice League will bring together the beloved trinity of Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) with The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), who all had cameos in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It has also been confirmed that Amy Adams will be back as Lois Lane, with Willem Dafoe playing Vulko, J.K. Simmons playing Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard playing Mera. Today we have proof that another iconic DC Comics character, Deathstroke, will be seen in this massive superhero adventure.

Ben Affleck shared a new video from the set of Justice League on Twitter, where he reveals Deathstroke for the first time. There had been rumors that Deathstroke would be featured in Suicide Squad, but that didn't happen. Now it seems this character will join the DCEU in Justice League. The only question that remains is what actor is playing this villainous character?

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

There have also rumors that Game of Thrones star Charles Dance is portraying Steppenwolf, and that Colin Farrell has signed on for a mystery role. Neither of those cast members have been confirmed, and it isn't known how long principal photography has been set to last for. Warner Bros. has already set a November 17, 2017 release date for Justice Leauge, which will be followed by Justice League Part 2 on June 14, 2019.

There is a rumor from a source close to the set that Deathstroke will be the main villain in Ben Affleck's standalone Batman movie. That has not been confirmed by Ben Affleck, DC Films or Warner Bros. at this time. It is possible that Ben Affleck is directing a Justice League post-credit scene, which we're seeing here in this set footage. It has not been confirmed that The Batman has started shooting yet. And this definitely looks like some sort of introduction to the character. Chances are he doesn't have a large role in Justice League, which is still shooting in London.

Although Colin Farrell's casting still hasn't been confirmed, it's certainly possible that he could be cast as Deathstroke. If this is true, it will put him in the elite category of actors who have portrayed both DC and Marvel superheroes, after portraying the Marvel villain Bullseye in 2003's Daredevil.
