Warner Bros.' highly-anticipated Justice League not only brings together all of the iconic heroes from Batman v Superman, but it also introduces new characters as well like J.K. Simmons' Commissioner Gordon. While filming is still well under way, the actor revealed that he has wrapped filming, while giving some high praise to his director Zack Snyder. Here's what the actor had to say, teasing that some of the DC heroes will be shooting for the rest of this year.

"My part is done. They are filming that for basically most of 2016, so some of the superheroes are still at work in jolly old London, but I'm back home with my family."

J.K. Simmons spoke with Entertainment Tonight to promote his role in The Meddler, which debuted on Blu-ray, DVD and digital today, going onto shed more light on his role. The actor revealed in April that he doesn't have a huge role as Commissioner Gordon, but he hopes to appear in future DC movies in bigger roles. Here's what he had to say in this new interview, reiterating his previous statements, revealing he is mostly seen alongside Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne/Batman, while comparing Zack Snyder to his director on The Meddler, Lorene Scafaria.

"Yeah, mostly with Ben. In this first installment of the Justice League, Commissioner Gordon is not a particularly sizable part. We just kind of introduce him and see a little bit of his interactions with Batman, and with most of the Justice League. That was a really fun set. Zack Snyder runs sort of a big, happy family and it's obviously, in many ways, a very different work environment when you're working on a big, giant movie like that than a relatively small movie like The Meddler. But at the end of the day, the director is the one who sets the tone. And one of the things that Zack and Lorene have in common is they're just nice, smart, competent, fun people that you don't mind spending a 12-hour day with."

The Justice League cast also includes Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane}, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko. Zack Snyder is directing from a script by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. Warner Bros. has set a November 17, 2017 release date for Justice League, with the second, untitled Justice League movie set for release on June 14, 2019.
