Production has been under way since April on Warner Bros. new Justice League movie, which brings this epic superhero team together. It's not the first time some of these heroes have assembled, though. One of the most infamous offerings is a 1997 TV movie entitled Justice League of America, considered by many to be the worst Justice League movie ever. Perhaps even the worst superhero movie of all time. Today, we have a video that breaks down this bizarre movie, and why it's so infamous.

YouTube user Mr. Sunday Movies put together a scathing essay as part of his Caravan of Garbage, where he discusses a movie, comic book or TV show that has become infamous because of how bad it is. This week's edition breaks down the 1997 TV movie Justice League of America. The movie starred Matthew Settle as Green Lantern, Kimberly Oja as Ice, John Kassir as Atom, Michelle Hurd as Fire, Kenny Johnston as The Flash, David Krumholtz as Martin, David Ogden Stiers as Martian Manhunter and Miguel Ferrer as The Weather Man.

The story follows the evil Weather Man, who's intent on destroying New Metro City with a series of malevolent meteorological mishaps. Can the super-powered (and semi-employed) Justice League of America save the day? Or will New Metro be drowned in a humongous tidal wave? This superhero movie is widely considered to be among the worst of all time, and you can see why in this video breakdown.

The new Justice League movie arriving next November follows some of the superheroes introduced in this spring's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. As you can see, in the version from 1997, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are no where to be seen.

The new Justice League movie is meant to be the DC Comics version of The Avengers, but the tone will be quite different and it is clear that Warner Bros. wants to set themselves apart from Marvel Studios. The cast includes Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, as well as Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. Justice League has also added J.K. Simmons, Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe. Also returning is Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred. Many think that Zack Snyder may ruin Justice League. Well, before we get too far ahead of ourselves, just take a look at this video to explore Justice League of America, and realize it ccould be, and was, a whole lot worse.
