When DC Comics and Warner Bros. announced their crazy 9 movie line-up back in August of last year, many thought it was way too ambitious. Fans and pundits alike shook their heads, claiming there was no way it could happen. But the studios are proving them all wrong. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is completed and awaiting release next March, Suicide Squad is near the end of filming in Toronto and will soon move into post-production, and Wonder Woman is currently in the stages of pre-production and has a director attached in Patty Jenkins. Now comes word from EW that the script for Justice League Part 1 is finished!

Screenwriter Chris Terrio has completed the screenplay, though it isn't known how many drafts it has been through, or how many polishes it will need before the movie begins shooting next year for its set release date of November 10, 2017. It's not the only DC Comics movie hitting that year, with Wonder Woman set to arrive five months prior, opening in June. Chris Terrio is also responsible for the final draft of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and is said to have rewritten the first Justice League Part 1 draft turned in by DC Cinematic Universe mainstay David S. Goyer.

No plot has been revealed at this time, though it is known that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will set up the ensemble team of superheroes in Justice League Part 1. The movie will star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, all of whom are getting their own standalone movies leading into 2020. There is no word yet on how Green Lantern will be utilized or introduced. While Doomsday has long been rumored to show up in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, director Zack Snyder, who is also taking the reigns of Justice League Part 1, teases that we may see Brainiac or Metallo in this upcoming superhero movie.

"I remember talking about 'What's the next villain?' We can't do another alien invasion. Brianiac was definitely down the road. Metallo, I think, was going to be the main bad guy of this movie."

By 'this movie', he means Man of Steel 2, which instead became Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, whose main villain is Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg. We may learn more about Justice League Part 1 when the cast of Batman v Superman hit Hall H for their epic Comic Con panel on Saturday, June 11 at 10:30 am.
