Justin Lin and Universal are coming off the recent ‘Fast Five’, which brought in more than $600 million worldwide.

Justin Lin Lands 2 Year Deal with Universal

Justin Lin and Universal unite Universal Pictures has inked a two-year production deal with Fast Five director Justin Lin and his Barnstorm Pictures.

Justin Lin will focus on movie tent pole projects guided toward a distinctive global mainstream audience. Several projects currently under development include Fast & Furious 6, Leading Man(a space drama), Untitled 442 project about a WWII era Japanese American battalion story, as well as an untitled sci-fi/crime thriller movie, directed by Robert Glickert.

"Justin's vision and unique approach to film making have been critical to the continued success of the Fast and Furious franchise," said Jeff Kirschenbaum, co-president of Production for Universal. "We know his creative instincts and signature style will make Barnstorm's partnership with Universal a strong one."

No production dates have been set.
