Even though Kaley Cuoco was one of the best parts of the comedy series The Big Bang Theory, her name was never up for an Emmy or Golden Globe for making the character of Penny so uniquely memorable. But, as they say, "it is better to be late than never," her talents have finally been recognized as her HBO Max series The Flight Attendant has earned her not one but two nominations in the recently released list of Golden Globe 2021 nominees. And her reaction to her well-deserved selections is probably the best thing you'll see on social media today.

Kaley Cuoco, who leads the adrenaline-pumping mystery-thriller and is its executive producer as well, was understandably emotional and surprised when the Golden Globe nominees list announced her double nomination- for Best Performance by an actress in a musical or comedy TV series for The Flight Attendant and the selection of the show in the Best Musical/Comedy series category as well. She immediately took to Instagram to share the adorable video shot of her reaction by her husband Karl Cook, with the caption:

"Thank you @goldenglobes #hfpa I will never ever forget this moment and I can't stop crying. So proud of my entire team @flightattendantonmax!!!!! YES NORMAN!"

"Norman" is her production company, named after her beloved dog who passed away a few weeks ago. While this is indeed a big win for HBO Max as the streamer has been struggling to stay steady in face of the tough competition, it is an even bigger milestone for Cuoco as it's her first Golden Globes nomination in the 30 years she has been an actress, despite portraying many memorable roles. But the actress has no complaints as winning an award has never been her agenda.

"I've been in this business for 30 years, and I was in the corner, happy, waving, part of great shows, never did I dream of this moment, nor was it a goal. I just dreamed of being an actor, and so to have this moment this morning after doing this my whole life, I'll never forget it. My heart is about to burst."

The Flight Attendant, based on Chris Bohjalian's 2018 novel of the same name, sees Cuoco as Cassie Bowen who is a first-class flight attendant, an A-grade flirt, and an alcoholic. Her chaotic life gets truly upended when a casual one-night stand with a first-class passenger ends with her waking up next to his dead body. Whether it is her suspicious lack of memories of what happened or the fact that she self-implicated herself by cleaning the room, she becomes the prime suspect who has to solve the twisted mystery that rapidly turns more and more complex to prove her innocence.

While Season 1 did provide a satisfactory conclusion in the form of one hell of a shocking finale, there are still some loose threads to tie up in the next season. "The C.I.A. is definitely interested in her (Cassie)," shared Cuoco. "We haven't written anything yet, we just started our writers' room, but I think the journey for her emotionally is that she is going to try and have a sober journey. Because she is so impatient, and her personality is so black-and-white, she's going to go into this thinking it's easy; a quick fix and that she's fixed her demons. I think she's going to learn very quickly that this is a life-long struggle and she's going to be way over her head."
