Katee Sackhoff Boards Female ‘Expendables’ Project

Katee Sackhoff will star in the all-female Expendables projectBattlestar Galactica star Katee Sackhoff has joined the cast of the all-female version of The Expendables, currently known as the Untitled Adi Shankar Project. We reported last month that Haywire's Gina Carano signed on.

We first reported on this project in August, when producer Adi Shankar announced his plans for this female-driven action ensemble. Dutch Southern is writing the screenplay, although no specific story details have been revealed. Here is what Adi Shankar had to say about the new casting addition.

"If you spend five minutes with Katee it becomes blatantly obvious that she would pwn (sic) most male action stars."

Adi Shankar will produce and fully finance this feature under his 1984 Private Defense Contractors company. It isn't known when production is slated to begin.

Untitled Adi Shankar Project is in development .
