Lionsgate has pushed up the release date for the summer comedy One for the Money, starring Katherine Heigl and Jason O'Mara, from July 8 to June 3.

According to Variety, the new date is a better position for the comedy to launch alongside 20th Century Fox's summer tentpole X-Men: First Class.

With the original date, One for the Money would have been competing with two other comedies: Sony's Kevin James starrer Zookeeper and Seth Gordon-directed Horrible Bosses, from Warner Bros.

Based on the popular tome by Janet Evanovich, One for the Money centers on a down-and-out woman (Katherine Heigl) who takes a last-ditch job working for her cousin's bail bond business, and her biggest client turns out to be her high-school heartbreaker.
