Kelsey Grammer has signed on to play the primary human villain in Transformers 4 for Paramount Pictures and director Michael Bay.

The actor, who most recently starred on the Starz TV series Boss, will play counter-intelligence agent Harold Attinger, although no details were given regarding his villainous nature. He joins a cast that includes Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, and Stanley Tucci.

Michael Bay is directing from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Ian Bryce, Tom DeSanto and Don Murphy producing. Shooting is scheduled to begin this June.
