The Woodsman: Benjamin Bratt, rapper Eve, and Kyra Sedgwick are in negotiations to star opposite Kevin Bacon in The Woodsman, an indie drama about pedophilia, for Lee Daniels Entertainment, the production company behind the Oscar-winning Monster's Ball, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Production begins this month in Philadelphia, with David Alan Grier and Michael Shannon also starring. Woodsman, directed by first-time writer-helmer Nicole Kassell, promises to be just as serious and controversial as Monster's Ball, which earned Halle Berry a best actress Oscar. It concerns a man (Bacon) who returns to his hometown after 12 years in prison and tries to start a new life working at a power plant. He struggles with past demons but resists the temptations, proving to himself that he's cured of the condition -- pedophilia -- that plagued him for years.
