Kevin Costner Boards ‘Midnight Delivery’

Kevin Costner joins Midnight DeliveryKevin Costner is in negotiations to star in Midnight Delivery for Universal Pictures. We first reported on this project back in September 2010, when Guillermo del Toro signed on to executive produce.

The story centers on a desperate father who reluctantly becomes a drug mule in order to save the life of his son. Neil Cross (Mama) wrote the original screenplay, based on an idea by Guillermo del Toro. Gary Ungar and Tory Metzger are executive producing alongside Guillermo del Toro. No production schedule has been given.

Kevin Costner starred as Jonathan Kent in the Warner Bros. blockbuster Man of Steel, and he will next be seen in Jack Ryan. He also recently wrapped shooting on Draft Day. We reported in May that he signed on to star in director Mike Binder's Black and White alongside Octavia Spencer.

Midnight Delivery is in development .
